I have been enthralled with photography since I was a teenager. The power to stop time and capture the raw emotion of a moment is as compelling now as it was then.
I was born and raised in Los Angeles and, at 17, fled to the rainforest of the Pacific Northwest. I studied Film and Visual Art at Evergreen, then settled in Northern California, where life started getting fun. Over the next 25 years, I worked in advertising, with teenagers in the Jewish community, taught high school photography and art history, and eventually co-owned a photography company for over a decade. I’ve since found my way back home to the verdant and dreamy Pacific Northwest.
Photography has allowed me to invite people to see their own beauty and place in the world and, in doing so, I’ve come to discover mine.
I am currently enrolled in a Master’s of Art Therapy & Counseling program so I can share my belief in the power of expression to support healing for individuals and communities. When I’m not studying, I can be found painting, practicing yoga, napping, or taking my pup to the park. My brilliant husband, son, and identical twin gingies keep me inspired, appreciative, and joyful.
